This situation however was worse, much worse.  At any moment, a train could come down these tracks and smash her like a bug on a windshield.  She screamed again and again into the tape, but to no avail.  No one would hear her in these woods.  She tried to struggle again to rid herself of the ropes around her wrists to no avail.  The towel provided to her offered little comfort on the rocks, rails and wooden ties.

She again tested the rope around her neck and found it cruelly effective.  If she fought that rope instead, she'd be dead long before the train came through.  The rope around her ankles also had no give.  She kept fighting the ropes though...she had no choice to do otherwise...
